Nutrition and pre-andperinatal medicine, and psychology remain the focus of his work to this day. To integrate all of these approaches into osteopathy, he founded biophysical osteopathy. He has been researching nutrition for thirty years and is co-founder and CEO of Millivital GmbH, which aims to offer new concepts for developing natural food supplements based on food synergy and micro-fermentation. His online nutrition course with Ingo Lienemann (Vital-Life-Food) offers people a balanced and delicious concept based on the latest scientific knowledge. Professor Angus Dalgleish trained at University College Hospital. He trained in internal medicine and oncology at hospitals in Brisbane and Sydney. He returned to the U.K. in 1984 and undertook a thesis on retroviruses with Robert Weiss. He was appointed as Senior Clinical Scientist at the MRC Clinical Research Centre, Northwick Park where he pursued his interests in HIV pathogenesis and the potential of Thalidomide to treat chronic disease. His suggestion that analogues of Thalidomide could lead to enhancement of the therapeutic activity and reduction of the side effects led to the licensing of Revlimid (Lenalidomide) and Pomalidomide (Pomalyst) for myeloma and lymphoma by Celgene. He was awarded the Joshua Lederberg prize in 2011 in recognition of this work.Since 1991 he has been Professor of Oncology at St. George’s University of London. During this time he has focussed on the immunotherapy of cancer and has conducted numerous clinical trials involving a variety of vaccines and immunotherapy. He was involved in teaching, such as a regional primary care workshop in cardiovascular disease, and has published widely within his specialist field.Dr Patterson is a member of the British Cardiovascular Society, British Echocardiography Society and the British Medical Association. In 2010 he underwent further specialist training for the reporting of CT Coronary angiography.Since coming to Guernsey, Dr Patterson has introduced non-invasive cardiovascular stress testing, with the support of the Nuclear medicine and Radiology departments at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, enabling assessment of patients at risk of heart attack prior to routine surgery. I don’t drive, how can I get to the Better Way Detox Fair?
If you require assistance with getting to the venue and do not drive please contact events@worldcouncilforhealth.org
Is there parking at the venue?
There is parking available for £5 per day. If you require parking please ensure you select the car parking option on the final payment page of the checkout to book your space.
Can I park on-site if I am a blue badge holder?
Yes, we will accommodate all blue badge holders so please do ensure that you select this option when purchasing your ticket. A windscreen pass that you must display upon entry along with the exact location will be provided. You will receive this pass approximately one week prior to the event to print out.
Can I be dropped off at the venue by a friend/taxi?
Absolutely, please ask the driver to advise the attendant you are being dropped off/collected and they will point you in the right direction.
Can I bring my own food?
Yes, we will however have some amazing food vendors, including an amazing medicinal chef, should you wish to buy some delicious food on the day. Cash is king, all of our food vendors will be required to take cash. They may also offer card purchases but this cannot be guaranteed. We encourage you to bring a picnic blanket to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Please help us to reduce waste by taking everything you bring onsite home with you to dispose of.
Do I need to book treatments in advance?
We will communicate anything that can be pre-booked via email before the event.
What sort of treatments will be available?
We will be offering 15 minute taster sessions. Treatments include Shiftwave Therapy, Red Light Therapy, Energy Medicine, Rife Machines, Acupuncture, Homeopathy and more. All available by donation.
Is there a cash point at the venue?
In the effort to keep cash alive, it is a prerequisite that anyone selling products/services/food at the event that they must accept cash. Please note that some of our vendors will only take cash. Please bring enough with you as there will be no cash points located at the venue. Some vendors will be able to accept card if necessary.
Can I bring my dog?
We would suggest you leave your dog at home to make the most of the fair. If you would like to bring your dog, please ensure they are kept on a lead at all times. Please also ensure you pick up after your dog. Dogs will not be permitted in the Vitality Hub / Main Threshing Barn but most welcome on all other parts of the farm. Dogs are not permitted on the shuttles, excepting guide dogs.
Drinking water
We will be offering the best quality drinking water available at the time. We encourage you to bring your own water containers to save on any waste of disposable cups.
Will there be a secure place to leave my belongings?
You will be able to leave anything you don’t wish to carry, yoga mats, blankets etc at the WCH office at the entrance. However this will not be secure or monitored so please keep any valuables with you at all times. We do not accept any liability for any lost property.
Should I bring my yoga mat?
Yes! There will be plenty of workshops where a yoga mat will be extremely useful. Blankets and pillows are also welcome should you wish.
Should I bring my musical instrument/s?
Yes! There will be plenty of opportunities to get your jam on.
What if I feel unwell?
St John’s Ambulance will be attending the event with first aid available to our attendees.
What happens if it rains?
Most of the fair is undercover, however some of the workshops will be outdoor and will be subject to good weather or the workshop leader willing to lead in the rain. We apologise in advance if the powers that be decide to geo-engineer the weather, its always good to bring the emergency brolly!
Will the event be live streamed?
The Detox Fair will not be live streamed, however there will be some panel discussions available for download for a donation after the event.
